Medical practitioner in a modern clinic supporting the free male circumcision programme

Voluntary medical male circumcision provides partial, long-lasting protection against heterosexually acquired HIV and can reduce the risk of some other sexually transmitted infections. It does not replace condoms, HIV testing, PrEP or other appropriate HIV-prevention measures.
